MAX ADAMS is an author, sometimes actress and model, and award winning screenwriter. Which means she knows how she’s supposed to put her makeup on, she just usually doesn’t since most of her days are spent with bed hair in front of a hostile computer.

Winner of a Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting and an Austin Film Festival screenwriting award early in her career, Max went on to be dubbed “Red Hot Adams” by Daily Variety and has worked with Columbia Pictures, Hollywood Pictures, Touchstone Pictures, Universal Pictures, Walt Disney Studios, and Tri-Star Pictures.

Max is the founder of two international online screenwriting workshops, The Left Door and 5150, is the author of The Screenwriter’s Survival Guide and of The New Screenwriter’s Survival Guide, is a University of Utah adjunct professor, is a former WGA online mentor and a WGA and Academy reader and judge. She is also the founder of the The Academy of Film Writing.

Max’s produced feature films include Excess Baggage, The Ladykillers, One For the Money and she recently appeared in Tony Tarantino’s Underbelly Blues. Max’s unproduced credits are in a vault somewhere at Universal Pictures and she has at times considered violence to break them out.
